Happy Monday, Everyone! First and foremost, WOW! This month has gone by so insanely fast! Even with the fast pace of this month, I am so glad that I managed to get all of my projects that I had planned for this month!! This month, I finished four projects. Now that there are a couple days left in October, I have been getting into the Christmas spirit already by making pom pom ornaments! Along with that, I finished my first sweater design!! I will be releasing it in December and I can't wait!!

With that being said, let's talk about projects I'm working on for the month of November!
First and Foremost: My Commission!!
A couple weeks ago, my aunt saw that I was knitting a pair of socks for my husband. After talking over it, she commissioned me to knit a pair of socks for her company's handmade gift auction! This is a great opportunity for me to get my business out there and I am so excited to be able to do this! The deadline is November 21st and I can't wait to see how these socks turn out!
Find Your Fade Shawl
I am knitting the "Find Your Fade" shawl for my mom. I've always wanted to knit this shawl, but I made so many excuses and didn't budget my money well enough to buy all the yarn. I will be able to at least buy some of the yarn needed with my budget for me to at least start the shawl. I doubt it will be ready for Christmas, but I do want to start it at least this month and maybe, I'll finish it in the next couple of months?
Also Mom, if you're reading this, just glide past this. I don't want to spoil anything but you're going to love it!!
Another Design! Yay!
I am designing a hat. When I got back into knitting, after FINALLY learning the purl stitch in 2014, I was super into knitting hats. To put it in perspective, I knitted 14 hats that following June. Needless to say, I really REALLY like knitting hats. Every year, I have been knitting one hat for me to wear for the winter BUT somehow, I end up losing that hat! Here's to hoping I don't lose this hat!
So that's three projects to work on out there. If any other commissions show up, then I will also work on the commission!
Thank you for taking time to hear what's going on in my world as a designer! Freelancing is hard, but God is my source of inspiration. He is the one that has called my heart to becoming a freelancer. He motivates me and I wouldn't be here without Him. I have faith that God is going to bless this career. To quote Stephen West, "Keep on knittin' Kitten". And I plan on doing so!
Thank you for reading!
Blessings,
Amanda Wells
